Welcome to Applied AI School.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your registration for, purchase of, access to and participation in courses, live teaching sessions, learning materials, communities and other educational services provided by Applied AI School (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account, purchasing or enrolling in a course, or otherwise using our learning platform, you agree to these Terms.

Please read them carefully before enrolling.

1. About Applied AI School

Applied AI School provides practical education and training in artificial intelligence, machine learning, applied AI, AI engineering and related technologies.

Our programmes may include live online teaching, recorded lessons, written learning materials, practical exercises, assessments, software projects, code repositories, community discussions and other educational resources.

Our programmes are designed for learners from different backgrounds and countries. Individual courses may have specific prerequisites or intended levels of technical experience.

2. Our Learning Pathway

Applied AI School may offer programmes at different levels of technical depth, including:

AI Foundations — Use AI

An introductory programme focused on understanding modern artificial intelligence and using AI tools effectively, safely and responsibly.

Applied AI — Build with AI

A practical programme focused on building AI applications using technologies such as Python, APIs, embeddings, vector search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agents, evaluation and related technologies.

AI Engineering — Engineer AI

An advanced technical programme covering areas such as deep learning, PyTorch, transformers, model training and fine-tuning, inference, quantisation, KV caching, batching, model serving, deployment and production AI engineering.

Course names, curricula, duration, technologies and individual topics may change as AI technology develops.

3. Eligibility and Prerequisites

You are responsible for reviewing the stated prerequisites for a course before enrolling.

Some programmes may require access to a laptop or desktop computer, basic programming ability, familiarity with Python, mathematics or other technical knowledge.

Where appropriate, we may provide preparatory materials or assessments to help learners determine whether they are ready for a particular level.

Enrolment in one level does not automatically guarantee that you meet the prerequisites for another level.

We may recommend that a learner complete preparatory material or an earlier programme before progressing to a more advanced course.

4. Registration and Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access courses and learning materials.

You agree to provide accurate and reasonably current information when registering.

Your account is personal to you.

You must not share your login credentials or knowingly allow another person to access paid course materials using your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and account credentials.

Please notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

5. Course Fees

Course prices are displayed before enrolment and may differ between programmes, cohorts or countries.

Where a course is advertised at a particular price, that price applies to the enrolment being offered at that time.

Applied AI School may change the price of future cohorts or programmes without affecting an enrolment you have already purchased.

Unless otherwise stated, course fees are one-time payments rather than recurring subscriptions.

Any applicable taxes, transaction charges or payment-provider fees will be displayed or applied where required.

6. What Your Course Fee Includes

Unless the relevant course page states otherwise, payment for a cohort-based programme provides:

• enrolment in the course level purchased;
• access to the scheduled live teaching sessions for the cohort in which you enrolled;
• access to the learning materials made available for that course;
• access to relevant exercises, assignments and projects;
• access to recordings that we make available as part of the course;
• instructor or teaching support during the scheduled cohort period, subject to the format described for the course; and
• ongoing access to the learning content for the course level purchased, as described below.

Additional services, specialist workshops, future programmes, certifications, events or other products may be offered separately.

7. Lifetime Access to Course Content

Where a course is sold with lifetime access, this means that after completing your cohort you may continue accessing the learning materials for the course level you purchased for as long as Applied AI School continues to operate and make that course or a substantially equivalent version of it available.

Lifetime access relates to course content, not unlimited lifetime instructor support or unlimited participation in future live cohorts.

We may update, reorganise, replace or migrate learning materials as technologies, platforms and curricula change.

For example, if Applied AI School changes learning management systems in the future, we may provide your continuing access through a different platform rather than maintaining the original platform indefinitely.

We may also replace outdated lessons or recordings with newer versions.

“Lifetime access” therefore does not guarantee that a particular website, software platform, file format, video, instructor recording or third-party service will remain available permanently.

8. Future Course Updates

Where practical, learners with lifetime access may receive updates made to the core learning materials of the course level they purchased.

Lifetime access to one programme does not automatically provide access to:

• entirely new courses;
• specialist programmes;
• additional advanced programmes;
• workshops;
• certifications;
• future products; or
• programmes that are materially different from the original course.

These may require separate enrolment.

9. Live Cohorts

Some Applied AI School programmes are delivered using a cohort-based format.

Your enrolment includes participation in the live cohort for which you registered.

Live cohort access may include scheduled classes, workshops, office hours, project support, assessments, demonstrations or other activities.

The dates and times of these activities will normally be published in advance.

We may occasionally need to change a scheduled session because of instructor availability, technical problems or other circumstances. Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected learners and provide an alternative session, recording or other suitable arrangement.

10. Rejoining Future Cohorts

Lifetime access to course materials does not automatically provide unlimited access to every future live cohort.

Previous learners may be permitted to attend future live sessions for the same programme at no additional charge where capacity allows, at our discretion.

Priority for live teaching, instructor support, assignment review, office hours and project feedback may be given to learners formally enrolled in the current cohort.

We may limit or decline repeat attendance where necessary to maintain an effective learning environment.

11. Live Session Recordings

Live classes, workshops and other educational sessions may be recorded.

Recordings may be made available to enrolled learners for revision and continued learning.

You will be informed when a session is being recorded.

If you do not wish your image or voice to appear in a recording, you may keep your camera and microphone switched off and use other available participation methods where practical.

Please avoid sharing sensitive, confidential or unnecessary personal information during recorded sessions.

Recordings may contain questions, comments or other contributions made by participants.

We may edit recordings before publication, including removing sections containing personal information, technical interruptions or material that is not useful for future learning.

We may also replace cohort recordings with newly recorded or edited educational content.

Use of recordings outside the learning platform, including for public marketing or promotional purposes where identifiable students are featured, may require additional permission where appropriate.

12. Attendance

Unless a course specifically states otherwise, attendance at every live session is not required to retain access to the course.

We recognise that learners may experience work, study, family, connectivity, electricity or other circumstances that affect their ability to attend live sessions.

Where recordings are provided, learners may use them to catch up on missed teaching.

However, some interactive activities, assessments or live project work may not be fully reproducible through recordings.

13. Technology Requirements

Applied AI School is delivered online.

Depending on the programme, you may require access to:

• an internet connection;
• a web browser;
• an email account;
• a smartphone;
• a laptop or desktop computer;
• development tools;
• third-party software;
• cloud computing environments; or
• other technologies identified in the course requirements.

AI Foundations may be accessible largely through mobile devices.

More technical programmes, including Applied AI and AI Engineering, may require regular access to a suitable laptop or desktop computer for practical exercises.

We will make reasonable efforts to design courses with accessibility, bandwidth and computing constraints in mind, but we cannot guarantee that every exercise will run on every device.

14. Third-Party Services

Courses may use third-party services and software such as learning platforms, Google Meet, GitHub, Google Colab, Hugging Face, cloud computing platforms, AI model providers, WhatsApp and other development or communication tools.

These services are operated independently and may have their own terms, privacy policies, availability requirements, age restrictions or usage limits.

Applied AI School is not responsible for outages, policy changes, account restrictions or discontinuation of services controlled by third parties.

Where a third-party service becomes unavailable or unsuitable, we may replace it with a reasonably equivalent alternative.

15. Paid APIs and Cloud Computing

We aim to keep required additional costs as low as reasonably possible.

Where practical, courses will use free, open-source or low-cost tools.

However, certain optional exercises may use third-party APIs, cloud computing services, GPUs or other resources that may incur charges.

We will endeavour to identify material additional costs before asking learners to use such services.

You are responsible for charges incurred through third-party accounts that you create or control.

You should monitor cloud and API usage carefully and configure spending limits where available.

Applied AI School is not responsible for unexpected charges incurred through your third-party accounts.

16. Course Content and Curriculum Changes

Artificial intelligence is a rapidly developing field.

We may update course curricula, models, libraries, software, exercises, tools and teaching materials to keep programmes relevant.

This may include replacing technologies covered in previous cohorts.

Course descriptions therefore represent the intended curriculum rather than a guarantee that every named technology will remain part of the programme permanently.

Any changes will be made with the aim of maintaining or improving the educational value of the programme.

17. Educational Purpose

Applied AI School provides educational services.

Completing a course does not guarantee:

• employment;
• promotion;
• admission to a university;
• professional accreditation;
• business success;
• income;
• investment returns;
• immigration outcomes; or
• any particular career result.

Examples discussed during teaching are for educational purposes and should not automatically be treated as professional, legal, financial, medical or other regulated advice.

You remain responsible for how you apply the skills and information learned.

18. Certificates

Where a course includes a certificate, certificates indicate that the learner has satisfied the completion requirements established by Applied AI School.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Applied AI School certificates are not university degrees, government qualifications or regulated professional certifications.

We may establish requirements such as completing lessons, assessments or projects before issuing a certificate.

19. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, course materials created by Applied AI School, including written lessons, diagrams, presentations, videos, exercises, assessments and original teaching materials, are owned by or licensed to Applied AI School and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Your enrolment grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use these materials for your own learning.

You may download materials where downloading is enabled and retain permitted copies for personal study.

You may not, without permission:

• resell course materials;
• upload paid course materials to public websites;
• share your account with other people;
• redistribute substantial portions of course recordings;
• reproduce a course for commercial training;
• publish assessment solutions intended to remain private; or
• represent Applied AI School materials as your own work.

Nothing in these Terms prevents reasonable personal note-taking or legitimate reference to skills and concepts learned through the programme.

20. Student Code and Projects

Code that you independently create as part of your projects generally remains yours unless a particular exercise clearly states otherwise.

Some exercises may use starter code, open-source software, datasets, model weights or other materials subject to separate licences.

You are responsible for complying with those licences.

Where projects are completed collaboratively, ownership should be agreed between the participants.

Applied AI School does not automatically acquire ownership of your original project merely because it was created during a course.

We may ask for separate permission before publicly featuring your identifiable project in a student showcase, case study or promotional material.

21. Academic Integrity

Learners are encouraged to use AI tools as part of their learning where appropriate.

However, you should understand and be able to explain work that you submit as your own.

Where an assessment is intended to test your individual understanding, submitting work produced entirely by another person, copying another student’s work or otherwise misrepresenting authorship may be treated as academic misconduct.

Course-specific assessment rules may provide further guidance on acceptable AI assistance.

22. Responsible Use of AI and Technical Skills

Applied AI School teaches practical technical skills that can be used in many contexts.

You agree not to use our courses, community, infrastructure or learning activities to deliberately facilitate unlawful activity, unauthorised access to systems, malicious software, fraud, harassment, privacy violations or other harmful conduct.

We may remove learners from activities where their behaviour creates a safety, security or legal risk.

23. Community Participation

Applied AI School may provide optional communities through WhatsApp or other platforms.

Participation in these communities may be governed by separate Community Guidelines.

You agree to treat other participants respectfully.

You must not use Applied AI School communities to:

• harass or threaten members;
• distribute scams or fraudulent offers;
• spam;
• scrape or harvest member information;
• send persistent unsolicited direct messages;
• distribute malware;
• advertise unrelated products or services without permission; or
• disclose another person’s private information without permission.

We may remove members who breach community rules.

24. WhatsApp and Phone Number Privacy

Participation in WhatsApp groups is optional unless clearly stated otherwise.

WhatsApp groups may expose your phone number, profile name, profile image or other information permitted by your WhatsApp privacy settings to other members of the same group.

You should review your WhatsApp privacy settings before joining.

Applied AI School cannot control whether another participant saves information that WhatsApp makes visible to them.

Members must not harvest, publish, sell or misuse other participants’ contact details.

Essential paid course materials will not be withheld solely because a learner chooses not to participate in an optional WhatsApp community.

25. Behaviour During Live Sessions

Participants should contribute to a respectful and productive learning environment.

We may mute, remove or restrict participants who materially disrupt live teaching, harass others, intentionally interfere with technical systems or repeatedly disregard reasonable instructions from instructors.

Serious misconduct may result in removal from the programme.

26. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where you request immediate access to digital content or services before the expiry of any statutory cancellation period that applies to you, additional acknowledgement or consent may be requested during checkout where required by law.

Please review the Refund Policy before purchasing.

27. Course Cancellation by Applied AI School

In unusual circumstances, we may need to postpone or cancel a cohort.

Where we cancel a paid cohort before delivering it, affected learners will normally be offered an appropriate remedy, which may include transfer to another cohort or a refund.

Where part of a programme has already been delivered, we will determine an appropriate remedy having regard to the circumstances and any applicable consumer law.

28. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:

• serious or repeated breaches of these Terms;
• payment fraud or chargeback abuse;
• account sharing;
• unauthorised redistribution of paid content;
• harassment or serious misconduct;
• security threats;
• unlawful activity; or
• deliberate misuse of the platform.

Where appropriate, we may first provide a warning and an opportunity to correct the issue.

Serious misconduct may result in immediate suspension.

Termination for breach may affect access to live teaching and, in serious cases, continuing access to course materials, subject to applicable law.

29. Privacy and Personal Information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice and applicable data-protection requirements.

The Privacy Notice explains what information we collect, why we use it, the legal bases on which we process it where applicable, the third parties involved, international data transfers, retention and your rights.

You should read the Privacy Notice before creating an account or enrolling.

30. Communications

We may send communications necessary to administer your account and deliver courses you have purchased.

These may include:

• registration confirmations;
• payment information;
• security messages;
• course announcements;
• timetable changes;
• live-session reminders;
• assignment information; and
• important service updates.

These operational communications are separate from optional marketing communications.

Where required, marketing emails will be sent only where we have an appropriate legal basis, including consent where applicable.

You may unsubscribe from optional marketing communications without losing access to courses you purchased.

31. Availability and Technical Interruptions

We aim to keep our learning platform and materials reasonably available.

However, online services occasionally experience maintenance, outages, security incidents and technical problems.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Where a significant disruption affects scheduled teaching or access to essential materials, we will make reasonable efforts to restore access or provide an alternative.

32. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Applied AI School is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from participation in a course or reliance on educational material.

We are not responsible for losses caused solely by third-party services, internet connectivity, electricity supply, learner equipment or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in this section affects mandatory consumer rights.

33. Learners Under 18

Some Applied AI School programmes may be suitable for learners under the age of 18.

Where a learner is a minor under applicable law, we may require consent or involvement from a parent or legal guardian before accepting payment, creating certain accounts, participating in recorded sessions or using particular community features.

Specific age requirements may apply to third-party platforms used during a course.

Learners and parents or guardians are responsible for complying with those requirements.

34. International Learners

Applied AI School may accept learners from multiple countries.

Certain services, payment methods, technologies or third-party platforms may not be available in every country.

Learners are responsible for ensuring that participation is lawful in their jurisdiction and that they can access the technologies required for their chosen programme.

Nothing in these Terms removes consumer or data-protection rights that apply mandatorily to you under applicable law.

35. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our programmes, technology, legal obligations or business operations.

The latest version will be published on our website with an updated revision date.

Material changes affecting existing learners will be communicated where reasonably appropriate.
